Nylon Cable Ties (NCTI) – UL Certified Wire Management & Bundling

Nylon Cable Ties (NCTI) are essential, high-performance wire management solutions designed for secure bundling, routing, and organizing of cables and wires. Manufactured from premium Nylon 66 material, these ties are certified to UL 94V-2 flammability standards, ensuring excellent heat resistance, erosion resistance, and long-term durability without aging or becoming brittle.

Available in standard natural (white) color for indoor applications and UV-resistant black for outdoor environments, our cable ties offer reliable performance across a wide operating temperature range of -35°C to +85°C. With a variety of widths and lengths to suit different bundle diameters and tensile strength requirements, NCTI cable ties are the trusted choice for electrical distribution, automotive, telecommunications, and general industrial applications.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How can I ensure a secure and waterproof seal where cables enter my control panel?
A: While cable ties are excellent for internal bundling, the entry point requires dedicated sealing. We recommend using our Nylon Cable Glands at the panel entry point. The gland provides IP68 protection against dust and water, and you can then use NCTI cable ties just inside the enclosure to neatly route and secure the cables to the mounting plate.

Q: My cable bundles are exposed to sharp edges and constant vibration outdoors. Are cable ties enough?
A: For harsh environments with high abrasion risks, relying solely on cable ties is not recommended. For optimal protection, we suggest first wrapping the bundle in our PET Expandable Braided Sleeving to provide superior cut-through and abrasion resistance, and then securing the sleeving at regular intervals using our heavy-duty (8mm or 9mm width) nylon cable ties.

Q: Can I use these cable ties for insulating electrical splices or joints?
A: Standard nylon cable ties are designed for mechanical bundling, not electrical insulation. If you need to insulate a splice or provide a moisture-proof seal over a joint, you should use our PVC Wire Wrapping Tape. It features a self-fusing rubber adhesive that conforms tightly to irregular shapes, providing excellent dielectric strength and environmental protection, which can then be neatly finished with a cable tie if needed.

Q: What is the difference between Natural (White) and UV Black cable ties?
A: Natural (white) cable ties are ideal for indoor applications where they are protected from direct sunlight. UV Black cable ties contain carbon black additives that absorb ultraviolet radiation, preventing the nylon from becoming brittle and cracking when exposed to prolonged outdoor sunlight and weathering.

Q: How do I choose the right width and length for my application?
A: The length determines the maximum bundle diameter you can wrap, while the width and thickness determine the tensile strength. For light-duty wiring (e.g., IT cables), 2.5mm or 3.6mm widths are sufficient. For heavy-duty industrial cables, hose bundling, or outdoor applications, we recommend 4.8mm, 7.6mm, or wider ties to ensure a higher minimum tensile strength and long-term reliability.
